Members Receive Discount on Sponsorship Packages

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, August 23, 2011 – The Manufacturers’ Association of Israel and the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute join in to support a major Israel export initiative, called Buy Israel Week, which will be held November 28-December 4 online, in print, and through various events that are occurring during that timeframe. Sponsors will benefit from a marketing package that includes print media exposure in 500,000 households across the US, as well as comprehensive social media outreach through “I Buy Israel” Facebook and Twitter ads and pages, blog features, online contests, You Tube videos, and daily “Seriously Surprising Deals” featuring Israeli product giveaways. To encourage maximum participation, members of the Manufacturers’ Association of Israel and the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute will be given a 20% discount on the sponsorship packages, which range from $8,000 to $36,000. Sponsorship rates for small businesses with less than $5M in revenue and for non-profit organizations are also available.

During Buy Israel Week, the web site will be transformed into an online marketplace divided into four sections. The first will feature coupons – which will be downloadable for free – from Israeli manufacturers of consumer goods that can be redeemed at merchants across the country. The second will feature local merchants offering discount vouchers for purchase. The third will showcase Israeli-based non-profits and lastly, the site will highlight other Israeli companies such as banks, high tech, pharmaceutical and others that do not offer tangible consumer products but would like to benefit from the high traffic and attention that the Buy Israel Week web site will be receiving during that time.

To complement the web site, beginning November 17, a print media supplement will be included within the six Jewish publications representing the largest Jewish markets in the United States – The Jewish Week New York, Tribe Media Corporation in Los Angeles, Florida Jewish Journal, Chicago Jewish News, Jewish Standard of New Jersey and the Washington Jewish Week. The supplements will emphasize local editorial features, interviews with CEO’s of Israeli brands, area events and much more.

Buy Israel Week is also being supported Strategy XXI Partners, a global marketing and communications consulting firm, which recently opened an office in Israel, to assist Israeli companies with their export initiatives in the context of corporate social responsibility, public private partnerships and market access around the world.
